There are many, many books out there discussing weather each hoping to solve the ?black art? of meteorology! Few do as they go into such depths and use jargon that obscure the message they are trying to deliver. This book is very refreshing in that it does not use much jargon. That it uses is explained well and usually illustrated with colour picture or drawing. Consequently the book is a pleasure to read and the author explains in a straightforward manner much that would otherwise be complex. The book take the reader through the theory, the definitions and then into practical forecasting, suggesting where to gather good weather charts to allow you to start predicting weather and checking your predictions against what occurs. The section of sources of weather information is up to date and touches on downloading GRIB files, suggests good websites and how to use weatherfax.
